Reader Question.

First, I apologize for the lack of posts. Moving has wiped us out. Internet is scheduled to be installed today. Woohoo! It's been a long few days with out the world wide web. Giveaway tomorrow (for sure) so check back. Now on to our reader question!

*book from tiny*prints

"I'm trying to put together baby books for my kids. I want to do something digital, where I can upload a picture and type what I want. What is the best company to use?"

We're coming to you T+T readers. I have only seen things online, I have never tried them myself, so if you've done digital scrapbooking, made a baby book of your own, seen a friend or family members that you think is great... let us know! I'm thinking this may be the route I go for Finn.

Thanks for your help!

  1. Blurb.com has excellent prices and good quality. I just ordered two books from Picaboo because they had a buy one get one free deal going. I will receive them today and come back to let you know the quality. I will say that I loved the option of a leather bound book on Picaboo's site. Wherever you order, be sure to search for promo codes before placing the order. Most of those shops have great deals going all the time.

  3. Check out the Shabby Princess Shabby shop piece of cake pages. If you are somewhat familiar with Photoshop, you can figure these out pretty easy and then just print them and put them in a scrapbook album. Also check out their freebies.

  4. Many of the people I know use Creative Memories for digital scrapbooks. I am still scrapbooking the old fashioned way, but CM has a great digital scrapbooking line.

  5. I use Picaboo.com. I really like their quality, and I have always had great customer service. They are a little more expensive than some, but their products will last a long time. We still have a book that I made for our 2 years of dating celebration. That was over two years ago, and it still looks like new. I also like how you have more control of the design of your book and picture placement. If you are looking for something with pretty good quality and really good prices, then I suggest Shutterfly.com. We used them for books for the kids who were in our wedding party as Christmas presents. Hope that helps!

  6. I use blurb and love the flexibility of the layouts and the number of pictures you can put on. Also, the prices are good!

I've tried a few with shutterfly and they turned out good, but the software used for putting your book together isn't great (not a lot of flexibility/room for creativity).

    Good luck!
