mango ink {giveaway!]

I know you're all going to hate me... but it's never to early to start thinking about Christmas, and while I do realize we haven't even hit Halloween, getting your Christmas cards done now really IS a smart idea. Trust me. It alleviates a huge amount of stress when there are so many things to be doing.

Enter Mango Ink. They really are the best of the best. Every time I browse their site I am amazed at their designs, always coming up with bigger and better. But bigger and better designs isn't everything. There are many competitors out there, Mango Ink stands out. Their papers are thicker, their printing is nicer and their prices are the least expensive (on unmounted items).

The designs speak for themselves, but if you need more convincing, Mango ink offers personal boutique service with each and every client. That means offering your own designer, a real life person working on your order to make it exactly how you want it to be.

Still not convinced? If you see a design you like, but want different colors or text, maybe a different message, they'll change it.. FREE. Make it compliment your clothes, your style, your greeting. They are on it. They are prompt and professional, and I really like them.

Today, they are offering one of you a $50 gift certificate toward free holiday cards. Check that one off your list. It will feel good. Really good.

What design will you choose? I can't wait to choose mine!!

thank you for your kindness {giveaway!}

I spent last winter trying to find these crochet headbands. I was unsuccessful but I loved them all the same. Saying that I was delighted when shop owner Magdalena from Thank You For Your Kindness, sent me an email and offered to send me some samples would be an understatement.

In fact, I waited anxiously for the mail each day until they arrived. I LOVE them, and while I can't pull them off quite like the model in the picture above, the girls can. They are going to be the perfect winter accessory, keeping their head and ears (I can cheat and pull it down a little) warm and staying fashionable all at the same time. You want these...

Plus look at all those amazing colors. I particularly enjoy the pumpkin spice, mustard and heather gray myself.

And if you're not sure you want to rock the headbands, why not try the crochet flowered clip? It still comes in plenty of fun colors, and spices up that bad hair day.

Today Thank You For Your Kindness is giving away one of their crochet headbands in pumpkin spice and their flower clip in winter rose.

What is your favorite Thank You For Your Kindness accessory?

souvenier?

We've gone over rides, characters and food, which leaves one major thing. Souvenirs. Do you buy them for you? or your kids? What do you get them? Do you let them choose? Or do you choose for them? Or do you skip them all together?

I want to choose, but Ryan is the nice parent and lets the kids choose. They chose snow globes. They are obsessed with snow globes. I probably would have chosen something different.

In fact they may end up with souvenirs they didn't even know they had.

Tell me your souvenir of choice and earn an extra entry in tomorrow's giveaway!

shabby apple {giveaway!}

Three Choices. One dress. It's up to you to decide. Shabby Apple has the best in style, fit and quality. You're sure to fall in love.

Will you choose a classic look with Anchors Away? It boasts a Peter Pan collar and double-breasted buttons with a function flap. This dress is fitted and hits at the knee. Made from a cotton spandex blend, this dress fits SMALL (slightly snug, true to size).

You could go with this Red Hot number (though it comes in green as well). A shirt-collar dress with large sash. Full skirt hits at the knee, hidden side pockets, made from cotton poplin with spandex for stretch. This dress fits generously and is sure to make a statement!

Or perhaps this bright and fun dress is calling your name. It's a turquoise secretary dress, with ruching at the sides to flatter hips and a tie at the neck. Hits just below the knee and fits generously.

Today's winner will take home one of the dresses above (their choosing) but today I want to hear which Shabby Apple number you have your eye on. There are so many to choose from.. each one as feminine and lovely as the last.

Would you love to win? be sure to:

*winner will be announced Monday 10/26

Answer the question.. receive an extra entry in tomorrow's giveaway.

tea collection {giveaway!}

The Tea collection recently launched a Sleepwear line, I already loved Tea, but seeing Finn in their new sleeper sets confirmed you just can't go wrong with Tea. The jammies are close fitting and made from luxurious Pima cotton that has been brushed inside for extra softness..(these really were surprisingly soft for cotton pajamas).

They are machine washable, and from what I've seen so far, wash extremely well. That is one of the biggest selling points for me, every Tea item we own, looks as good as the day I bought it, regardless of how many times it has been washed or worn. You really do get your money's worth.

Today the Tea Collection is hoping you'll help them celebrate the launch of this new line. They are giving away a $100 e-certificate to one lucky reader!

How you choose to spend it is up to you, but I'd definitely recommend at least one pair of the pajamas.

Though I really love the new holiday line as well (for the ladies and for the gentlemen).

*What will you be adding to your basket?

Would you love to win? be sure to:

character?

Today we watched the Pixar Parade at California Adventure. It was definitely a highlight! The best part may have been watching Finn react to the characters. He was LOVING them, it even seemed as though he was trying to wave to them.. particularly to Sully (waving is not something he's done prior to this point). So in honor of Finn..

Who is your favorite Disney Character and why?

hello hanna.

When the new hello hanna placemats arrived in my mailbox, I instantly knew they would be a hit with the girls, and boy were they ever.

They transformed my children. no really. The regular dinnertime rascals were replaced by angels, quiet and entertained, not one word about how much longer until dinner, no crying, no fighting, oh the happiness I felt from this simple genius invention.

You should try them out, really you should, see for yourself.. available in hello robot, hello me and hello jungle.

snuggle luv.

If you're in the market for some baby leg warmers, I have the place for you. Snuggle Luv sent me some of their leg warmers and they are a favorite addition to our fall/winter wardrobe.

One of my favorite looks is on my baby boys arms under a comfy tee. It's a layer look, keeps him warm, and adds a touch of his own individual style (that is if a baby can have their own style).

Lucky for you Snuggle Luv is having a promotion of their Snuggle Legs (by 2 get 1 free), and even luckier they're giving some away!!!

I know I've been a slacker on giveaways, but I've got a great new line-up of give aways coming your way... Starting with Snuggle Legs. Two winners, Two pairs each!

If you'd love to win:

+leave a comment with your name
+tell me which pairs you would choose if you win
+giveaway will be open until Friday
+winner announced Monday morning

Good Luck!

vaccinate?

I realize I may be opening a can of worms here, but I'd like a friendly discussion on this. The swine flu vaccine.. are you going to give it to your children? yourself? why or why not.

I've been reading a lot of literature and articles. I think we've survived our first (Lily) and now second (Ryan) case of the H1N1 virus. I'm still on the fence. There's pros and cons to both sides. So which will you choose, vaccinate or take your chances?

all my favorites.

1. Cliff's Z bar for kids...I actually eat them :) The chocolate brownie bar is my fave! I eat one for a chocolate fix and don't feel all the guilt!

2. The Sigg water bottles. Well, for one they are very cool looking...but they are also safe for you and the environment!

3. I love the thought of eating organic but have only managed to switch our milk so far. We love the horizon organic milk. I found a bulk pack of these at Whole Foods and I stick them in the kids lunches.

4.The alba lip balm. Honestly I will never use anything different, Alba works! Alba is also made from natural products and doesn't have the bad "stuff" you shouldn't be putting on your body. It is a perfect product for dry lips, I use it daily.

5. The Built NY lunch tote. This is actually a wish list item for me, I love the different designs they carry, I love all things bags as it is!

6. China Glaze nail polish is my favorite. I recently started giving myself pedicures! I wanted my feet to look like I had been to the salon without the price tag. I was recommended China Glaze, I do love it and have found that my little investment has gone a long ways!

7. I love Jenny McCarthy and love all that she has done for her son's health. She motivates me to want to eat healthier. She really is a great mom!

8. Methods Squeeky Green laundry detergent and dryer sheets made with rice milk+mallow. For one, they smell amazing...another, the dryer sheets come in a very cool little package and they are moist. The best reason is, it's the one product that doesn't make my son's eczema flair up!

9. Methods non-toxic all purpose wipes. I love these for my car. When stopped at a light or waiting to pick up my son I get cleaning in my car:) They make my car look nice and tidy and I don't feel like my hand has absorbed anything it shouldn't have.

10. Jack Johnson music. This is my favorite music to listen to! My husband and I saw him in concert, he is so cool! Love, love this music!

11. Organizing for Life by Sandra Felton. This book seriously helped me. It really helps you figure out why you do what you're doing now, and helps you become the more efficient person you want to be.

12. Alba lotion. The hand and body lotion with cocoa butter is my favorite! I have always had really dry legs and heels. This is the first lotion I have found that cured my dry skin problem. I will never try another lotion again, seriously!

13. Tazo Zen tea. It's a green tea, and it's good for you. I just love tea!

14. Real Simple "Family" magazine. I think it comes out every year in September! Always has really useful tips, also love that matte feel of the pages and cover :)

15. The BYO lunch totes are very popular this year. Picked them up for my kids and we love them. It's like scuba suit material, when it's dirty I just throw it in the wash and it comes out good as new!

16. The Ped Egg. This has gotten rid of my dry cracked heels for good...love this little ivention. It is way better than a rough file.

17. Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha. It's my favorite but I try not to go too much :)

18. Spritzer hand sanitizer. Just line the kids up and spritz away. It's way better than the goopy, messy gel.

So that's it... all my faves! Just want to thank Brittany for inviting me to be a guest blogger this week, it was super fun!

pumpkins.

ooh. I just saw these on Kelly's blog, and I think I'm in love.

food fetish.

Lately I have had a food fetish. I love, love the way magazines display food and make it all too appealing. They can make anything look appetizing, really. So in my attempt in giving our food more appeal, I found that my kids were also more likely to eat it! The other morning I served french toast kabobs, they loved them. The added effort also made for a cheery morning. Give it a try and see if it works for you! You can find the recipe here.

field trip.

Today we ended up at Saint Cupcake! I love to take the kids to the city and enjoy a change of scenery. I call them "field trips" and the kids always get really excited when I ask them if they would like to go on one. There are so many amazing shops to discover, it makes me want to skip down the sidewalk like a kid...actually I do sometimes!
We all thought the shop was yummy in more ways than one! The shop bakes the best cupcakes ever! The frosting I could eat like a bowl of icecream! Our favorite was the toasted-coconut-cream cupcake, I especially loved the long white tray they served them on...what a great fieldtrip! Lucky for you they ship nationwide.
