Saranoni {a-giveaway-a-day!}

I have always been drawn to the simple and lovely. Give me timeless, elegant or classic and I am sold. One visit to Saranoni and I knew it was love. From their soft and snuggly blankets to their hand crafted sterling silver bracelets, you are sure to find something you can't live without.

When Emily Peterson and her husband founded Saranoni they wanted a name that represented a commitment to strengthening families and communities. Women, mothers and grandmothers are at the core of the family and community and are critical to nurturing and strengthening those around them. They looked to women in their own families that provided those qualities and came up with Sarah (paternal great grandmother) and Noni (maternal great grandmother) combined into Saranoni they encompass all the company strives to be.

In keeping with their original vision, Saranoni currently works to provide individuals, families and communities in developing countries the opportunity to produce and supply the products they sell. They then give back a portion of their earnings to those individuals and countries providing education and other opportunities to those in need.

Not only do we at Tangled and True love the quality products they provide, we love the vision, hope and contributions they make to helping the world be a better place!

Today they offer one {lucky + random} winner the following package valuing in at $87:

Classic, simple and perfect for baby. Made from pima cotton {the softest, most refined cotton in the world} this layette will quickly become a staple in babies wardrobe.

Tyler Brown Pediped Shoe, $29

Not only are these shoes comfortable and stylish they are pediatrician and podiatrist-recommended! Designed to be the 'next best thing to bare feet' you are sure to become a fan. The classic brown shoe paired with the contrasting light blue stitching ensure these shoes are always in style.

Blue Plush Burp Cloth, $10

Now your baby can spit-up in style! These soft and extremely absorbent burp cloths will not only take care of babies little dribbles, they'll feel good on their skin. And the best part of all, they still look great after multiple washes.

With their classic elegance, soft colors and heirloom quality Saranoni is sure to leave you wanting more. I'm loving the Eliza cuff bracelet, solid oatmeal pants, olive swirl plush blanket, and Appledore Puggy Blocks to name a few.

I am especially excited to tell you that along with our giveaway, Saranoni is offering every single one of you a 15% discount on all orders! Simply use code T&T.

sweetbeets {a-giveaway-a-day!}

There have been a few moments in my life as a mother where very little could do justice in depicting my thoughts and my love and my awe for Cole and being a part of his life. The announcement of his birth and the celebration of his first birthday were those moments where no detail could be prefect enough; where I wish I had known of Sweetbeets, a company that does represent the joy and purity and love of childhood and all that it does to impress a life like my own. So, we revisit this company that I discovered in October and since have returned to several times. Sweetbeets is nearly flawless {read: eco friendly!} and clearly beautiful.

From Lisa Zuraw, Sweetbeets owner:
"...Wouldn't it be refreshing to see familiar images of childhood that capture the magic of that charmed age? Thinking of childhood instantly summons fond memories of skipping and hopscotch. I recalled the way my toddler was fascinated with a spinning top. And what is it about puddles that seem to attract all children like a magnet?

Filled with observations of my children at play and recollections of my own childhood, I began to create illustrations that would be a sweet reminder of life's simple pleasures. I felt images that speak to the child in all of us would be perfect for greeting cards used to connect us with friends and family."
Simple and magical is exactly what Lisa has created. Her cards are now available to all of us via her new etsy shop and I'm thrilled about the possibilities. For example, Cole's second birthday invites have been selected (and ordered!):

birthday boy superhero

Sweetbeets hopes to help you celebrate the magic of childhood by offering 2 readers each 8 cards of the their choice ($44 value/winner)! How would you decide?

What's your favorite Sweetbeets print?

s-w-a-p.

A little giveaway-a-day interruption...

(From reader Stephmodo who has a lovely blog:)

Swapping was so much fun last time, let's do this again. It's the New Year and getting organized is a popular resolution. It's easy to understand why...life is so much better (not to mention "easier" and "simpler") when we are trying to be organized. I'm constantly amazed at the information I come by on the "blogosphere". There is much talent to be shared and many a tip to be passed along. So let's do just that...let's get organized!

Sounds perfect! If you're interested in further details, read here. Please note that the signup deadline is Wednesday, January 16th.

jesse walker {a-giveaway-a-day!}

I'm a knitter at heart. I've bought the how-to books and the fancy apple green yarn and have sat practicing my purl stitch too many times. I have yet to complete a project. I'll get it when I find the spare time for new projects, but in the meantime, I've found the good stuff by Jesse Walker. As you know, I fully support handmade and love the purity found in all of Jesse Walker's goods made by hand (not a loom), in America, by good and talented women across the country.

Jesse Walker is the creation of the designer and owner, Dale Pollak Schlauch. Jesse Walker is named after Dale's two children Jesse and Willy Walker. The Company was started 5 years ago after Dale decided to stop teaching Preschool and stay home with her kids. Knitting since age seven, the next to come was obvious.

Although their company carries both knit and sewn (and are well known for their outdoor blanky, previously featured on Tangled and True), I love the lovely bohemianism in wearing 100% hand knit. It's all a bit Anthropologie-esque for the next generation; it feels authentic and organic. Just different in the best of ways.

Bring customized and unique into your child's wardrobe in 2008. I'm excited about the cupcake hoodie, puppet mittens, ice cream lovie and patchwork scarf... to name a few from the collection. Even more so, I'm thrilled to announce that one of you will win and design your very own patchwork sweater ($100), choosing 4 yarn colors from a selection of 55 as well as the size of your choice (6 months to 6 years). If you're anything like me, it's the closest that knitter at heart in you will come to turning up anything wearable.. and nothing short of fantastic.
How would you express yourself, Jesse Walker style?

satsuma {a-giveaway-a-day!}

Being a mother qualifies me as an authentic blanket scout. I'm still collecting swaddling blankets, etc. in hopes for the perfect fit come baby #2... since Cole has already claimed a favorite. I'm drawn to simple, soft, all natural and perfectly modern. So, you can imagine my delight when I hear from Satsuma about their good for your baby blankets that exceed soft and stylish with their antibacterial and eco-friendly properties!

Satsuma
was founded by moms Shannon and Jennifer who have always been driven by keeping their families healthy and happy. They recognized the growing consumer trend of buying "green" and saw it as an opportunity to bring good products to not only their own kids, but every kid. Satsuma's signature blankets are made of 100% bamboo fabric-- naturally antibacterial (even after several washes), odor fighting, 3 times as absorbent as cotton, soft and silky, containing no harsh dyes or chemicals and easy to care for. Simply, a miracle product. Bless Satsuma!

And for incredible giveaway number two, Satsuma is giving:

one: bamboo swaddling blanket, $32

Satsuma's signature item. "Wrap the babies in your life in love and good health with our naturally antibacterial swaddling blanket."

one: bamboo velour baby blanket, $50

Made of bamboo and organic cotton, this thicker blanket brings year round comfort, still proving amazingly soft, soothing and safe with its naturally antibacterial properties.

Both products will go to one lucky winner: a perfect pair totaling $82.

Start 2008 by being good to your baby as well as mother earth! How will you give back?
