Tomorrow is Ryan's birthday and I am on the hunt for the perfect birthday dessert. Suggestions anyone? email me (tangledandtrue@gmail.com). I'll love you forever.
Ice Cream Cake. Not fancy, but my hubby is crazy about it.
1 pkg oreos, pulverized and stirred with 1/2 cup butter 1/2 gallon quality ice cream ( I recommend mocha almond fudge or mint chocolate chip from dreyers) 1 jar Mrs. Richardsons Hot Fudge 1 small carton cool whip Maraschinos or Sprinkles or Toasted Coconut
spread cookie/butter mixture in bottom of spring-form pan. Freeze til firm. Soften ice cream slightly, then spread on top of cookie crust. Freeze til firm. Warm hot fudge slightly in microwave, spread over ice cream. Freeze til firm. Spread cool whip over fudge, then add any maraschinos or sprinkles. Freeze until firm. To serve, set at room temperature for 5 or 10 minutes, slice with a knife dipped in warm water. Garnish with a drizzle of hot fudge.
These are AMAZING! http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/000281.html
ReplyDeleteI used dark chocolate chips in mine and that just took it to a whole other level. So good.
Make him some creme brule!
