For the Kindergartner: Which would you choose?
A. Jack Purcell: Classic, clean, goes with most anything.
B. Morgan and Milo: A little glam, neutral color, won't show dirt as quickly.
C. Old - School Vans: Flashy color, fun, reminiscent of my own school days.
D. Chuck Taylor: Slip on + Slip off, classic.
All similar in price, all brands that wear well and hold up. I have two I lean towards, let's hear your votes and opinions.. Would you choose A, B, C or D?
I'd go with the Jack Purcells for me, but I don't think white canvas is the best choice for a 5YO. Therefore, I vote for the blue Chucks.
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely go for C or D. The Chucks are the more practical, color wise, but the Vans are more spunky and fun.
ReplyDeleteI would go with either B or D. I love the fact that B has glitter. But D is more practical and will macth with more stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe live in Prague and b would be the choice for us a little glam is always a must.
ReplyDeleteboth B & C have a big personality- great for a 6 year old!! I love anything morgan & milo though.
ReplyDeleteYou are only young once. B or C.
ReplyDeleteif you want them to last D, if not C! & the teachers will be jealous! (at least I would be if I were a teacher)
ReplyDeleteyou don't even need to ask...B is the winner by a miile!
ReplyDeleteB for sure and D as a back up...
ReplyDeleteD for sure!
ReplyDeletemy little girl (now in first grade) is on her second pair of chucks, and she and i both love them. if you want something a little more funky they come in pink and a lot of patterns, too.
ReplyDeletebut i also like the vans.
you know i would go for the vans.
ReplyDeleteB. glam it up lil girl.
ReplyDeleteB or D! I love the JPs, but white canvas does seem to be risky.
ReplyDeleteB or D! I love the JPs, but white canvas does seem to be a risky move.
ReplyDeleteTotally B. She'll only be in Kindergarten once! Let her have some fun with the shoes.
ReplyDeleteI vote A for me and B for your little one. The sparkles are too fun to pass up. Different as well, every other girl will be wearing hot pink shoes. The Morgan and Milos are more unique.
ReplyDeleteI like B or D.....they won't show dirt and are easy to get on and off. I like the glam girl stuff, but also like the simple chucks will go with everything.
ReplyDeleteB! and my 2 year old would love the PINK version of these.
ReplyDeleteB for sure! Then C, then D, and never A!
ReplyDeleteWe have B and D and I love them!
ReplyDeleteI would go with the blue chucks b/c she can put them on herself and navy goes with pretty much everything as well!
ReplyDeleteB or D. B = glam D=classic. blue chucks will always be in style.
ReplyDeleteB or D. I used to be a white-shoe mom then realized that kids need to be kids, let them LOVE their shoes even if they don't match the outfit. :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter (who is in the 2nd grade now) wears nothing but her slip on Chucks. They are great for PE days and never give her blisters. She isn't much of a girlie girl, so they are perfect for her.
ReplyDeleteI would pick C but my 5 yr old would pick B
ReplyDeleteI like B because of the neutral factor, and because they sparkle! But is the sparkle going to fall off at all? That would be the only caveat...
ReplyDeleteI would go with b: lots of fun for little girls, won't show much dirt, and will match a multitude of clothing.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to pick the Chuck Taylors. Classic.
ReplyDeleteB all the way. :)
ReplyDeleteD) We just bought some for my 3rd grader and she loves them. I think B) would be fun too!
ReplyDeleteI would go with C or D - D is a great option because no laces and kindergarten teachers do not have time to tie shoes. But C is great too as long as you double knot before leaving!! I love Jack Purcells for me, but white would be filthy so quickly!
ReplyDeleteI am loving B! You can still get away with them in K.
ReplyDeleteI would say b a little flashy but still easy to get on and off.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... B or D. B or D. B or D.
ReplyDeleteI choose D. :)
I love vans and sucks. Seriously SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteA or D!
ReplyDeleteI love A- classic and they go with EVERYTHING! And from my experience, the slip ons don't slip on so easily.
ReplyDeleteB or D. Both are my favs
ReplyDeleteI heart Jack Purcells! I wore them in jr. high.
ReplyDeleteB. I don't think you can beat Mary Janes!
ReplyDeleteC or D
ReplyDeleteB all the way.
ReplyDeletefor a girl i choose b for a boy i choose d. i barley have time to get those kids out the door, let alone tie their shoes.
ReplyDeleteB – my daughter is on her second pair of these. She got the blue ones in the spring, and had to have the red ones when she saw them in the fall. The blue ones have seen a lot of wear and still look as good as new, so I had no problem getting them in red as well. Love, love, love Morgan & Milo.
ReplyDeleteD
ReplyDeleteI would go for the glitter, simply because my mom would never have let me wear them. :)
ReplyDeleteB & D for sure! Every girl should have a go-to glam look as well as something casual for everday. D looks more comfy than the other casual looks and is dark so it will look cleaner longer
ReplyDeleteThumbs up for the Chuck Taylor slip ons! Chuck Taylor is very popular in our family, we all have them!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely C.
ReplyDeleteI'd chooce C.
ReplyDeleteIt's not forever that you can wear pink shoes and be cool. Let them enjoy those wonder years while they can.
:)
For 35 bucks, I'd go to Payless and get four pairs of shoes that were just as cute. If your kindergartener is anything like mine, those shoes will be covered in dirt by the end of the first day, and they'll grow out of them by Christmas.
ReplyDeleteJust keepin' in it real.
Can the kindergartner tie her own shoes? If not, A is out since she'll have to ask for help at school if they come untied. And we have those Chuck Taylor slip ons and they are super hard to get on -- even for me.
ReplyDeleteI love the Morgan and Milos but make sure she tries them on first because I think they're sizing is way off.
I choose C or D. NOT A because they will be sooo dirty in no time. kids and white shoes do not go well together. C if your child can tie her shoes well. and D if not, because they are easy to get on and off (i have an adult sized pair of these, and i love them!)
ReplyDeleteMorgan and Milo's!!
