lush.

Have you been to Lush? If not, it is something everyone should experience.

First you can smell the store from a mile away. I'm not kidding and it smells SO good. Second there are a dozen friendly associates waiting to show you just how everything works and how truly amazing it all is. I hope you are prepared for a lengthy post..

Let's start with the bubble bars. We are the current owners of this the Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar. We'll just say the kids have been bathed more than ever since the purchase of their new favorite bubble bath. It glitters (not all do), makes the water pink, and gives them bubbles. The bar was $5.65 and we have already used it at least 7 times with more than half of it still left. You just crumble a small amount while running the water and voila, pink.. bubbles.. and the smell, it is heaven, and the whole upstairs smells like it, bonus for mom!

This lip balm is hands down the best I have ever used and I have gone through my fare share of lip balms. It is silky smooth and so moisturizing. It has been a lifesaver for me and the kids this winter. I can't say enough good things about it.

This has to be one of my favorite things they showed us during our store experience. It is so cool, and addicting. You will want to play with it, and your kids and husband will too. It's is like jelly, but it lathers up like soap. Use it in your shower or put it in a dish on your sink for guests to use. Once you switch to jelly soap, you may never want to go back to bar or liquid.. consider yourself warned.

If your hands are dry from all the hand-washing you do to avoid H1N1 and whatever else is floating around there, dream cream to the rescue! Your hands will be soft and moisturized in no time. The pot is completely recycled and you get rewards for bringing them back to the store when you're finished.
Sorry guys, there's just one more thing I have to share (though everything at the store is amazing). TheGlitterbug Sparkle Bar, rather than sprinkling yourself with glitter (and making a mess), you can rub it on with this moisturizing bar, no really.. it looks like a bar of soap but you rub it on your skin and you instantly have shimmery ultra moisturized soft skin. It feels like you've just applied lotion. My girls think this is the greatest thing ever (so do I because there isn't glitter everywhere).

Need to see it to believe it? Find yourself a store and pay it a visit, you'll be glad you did.

  2. This reminds me of home. I used to have one on my local high street you could always smell it a few shops down. You could never walk by without going in!
Lovely - I did not realize they were in the US too.
    Thanks for sharing.

  4. I was a big fan for years and now I work part-time at a store near my house. What I love now (more) about Lush is that the company is ethical. The products are all vegetarian, cruelty-free, 74% vegan and 64% without packaging.
You really can buy something from there and feel good about it.
I'd just like to take a sec here to urge everyone to head to their local store and get a little treat for themselves. Lush is running a promotion right now (we usually don't have sales)!!!! Bulk soap is buy one get TWO FREE . Gifts are buy one get one free!!!
The sales associates work really hard to meet their sales goals so shopping at a store helps us the most!
SO VERY glad you found us! Cheers!

  5. this is so funny because we happened into lush and got HOOKED over the holidays. We came home with everything on your list and a little more. I have super dry skin and I got out of the shower without having to slather on lotion or aquaphor ointment for the first time in my life. I love this place.
