backpack.. backpack.

Have you found that perfect "back to school" bag for your son or daughter? I've been looking..

I think this would be so perfect for a boy. Simple, darker in color, but not your everyday bag..

and I'm liking the messenger bag for the girls. What are your favorite bags for back to school?

  1. That PINK bag is amazing. Too bad I've got only boys.

    JR wanted a West Virginia backpack, go figure.

  2. For littler kids, I am loving the small backpacks from Pottery Barn Kids and they have been on sale and had free shipping all summer. The small backpack isn't really small, it is 11x14 whereas the big ones are 14x17, it holds all of their papers but is easier for them to carry, perfect for Kindergarten/1st graders.

  3. My daughter wears her backpack like a messenger bag. This would be perfect for her and it's so cute! Unfortunately for her, she is using her same Lands End backpack as last year.

  4. Uggg!!! Oh the backpack search. This is my first year with a kiddo at school and I am having a hard time finding something that isn't ridiculously cheesey. Right now I have one from Children's Place that has a floral print. It is okay. She didn't love the monkey one...shoot!! Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will have to check out pottery barn.

  5. I got my son a Diego backpack from Target, but it was too big for a kindergarten kiddo, and the zipper broke on day 2. I also got the Pottery Barn Kids small size backpack, and love it. It's super sturdy, lots of pockets, and just the right size.

  6. If your little one likes to take their lunch...try to find one with the lunchbox attachment. It is SO great and then the lunch box doesn't take up room inside the pack. PB Kids has these (We use the smaller one the first two years with the lunch box.) and I found one this year from Old Navy...lunch box and pack were under 20. I just hope it holds up okay...

  7. I also love the look of the messanger pack. I wanted to get one for my little guy but my husbend informed me how hard it would be to ride a bike or scooter to school with one. So we decided to stick the back pack way. {Gap is were we found ours.}

  8. You know how I feel about the messenger bag. Not a great idea. The kids look cute, but not so practical. They are always to big and awkward. I would stick with the backpack for sure.
