I heard a rumor that this game was really fun for little kids. Have you ever played it? Did you love it or hate it? Would you recommend it? What are your favorite kids games, I love playing games with the girls and we are in desperate need of some new ones.
We have had Zingo for a couple of years and it spans all ages. We all enjoy it. My 7 year old still plays with his younger siblings. Another fun game is Cariboo - good for these ages too. Our kids are 7, 5 and 3. I think we got Cariboo when our oldest was 3.
ReplyDeleteZingo is super fun. My 3yr old loves to play it. Another fun game is the ladybug game.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that Zingo is great for a bunch of ages. Just this past weekend, we had a 6yo, a 5yo and a 3yo playing together. Taking turns getting the "cards" and even packing up was fun.
ReplyDeletegreat game! 3 year old and 5 year old can play it together (without my supervision...even better :) I even like playing it...and it does not drag on and on, you can play several games quickly so everyone has a chance to win (or lose....which is great when trying to teach a 5 year old to be a good sport).
ReplyDeleteMy 4 year old just got Zingo for his birthday and has been playing it happily ever since (along with his 6 year old sister)!
ReplyDeleteWe love this game, too! Another great one is Hulabaloo (a Cranium game for kids). They can play it themselves, they have to move their bodies, they work on their colors, and shapes and it's fun!
ReplyDeleteYou KNOW I love it! LOVE IT! Molly...our 2 year old totally gets it too. She plays with her 7 and 9 year old siblings...and sometimes me! For the kids who can count...TROUBLE can be quite fun too.
ReplyDeleteThis has been my go-to present for the eleventy million birthday parties my son has been invited to this year. It requires minimal upkeep from parents to keep the game going, which is nice. Great for 3 to 7, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteI just bought this for our 4 year old for Christmas. My neighbor said that he had a great time playing it while on a play date. She also said that my 6 year old enjoyed it as well.
ReplyDeleteWe love Zingo at our house too. Also try Qwirkle, Great States Jr (or regular), and/or Blokus...we like educational games. Can you tell?
ReplyDeleteOh, and Apples2Apples is great too
ReplyDeleteHaven't played this one, but we love Uno and Guess Who.
ReplyDeletezingo's really fun! another fun game for that age group is snail's pace race by haba. SO fun. there's no real strategy, just dice rolling. pizza pile up's a good one too. we have a game store--funfinity. they carry all those games, I think.
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was 4 he received a Hero Zingo. He loves it still and he's 6.
ReplyDeleteYou don't really NEED anymore comments on this game, but I have 5 children and the two littlest LOVE to play this game at GRANDPAS everytime they go since they have been 4 and 6. *even the older ones will join in*
