A Google search for nursery storage led me to Q Collection Junior. It's fantastic..

I'm especially drawn to the Stella Stackable with Star Door Pulls. It's a beautiful solution.. although a little pricey for my budget. I hope to see more of them.

I've been on the search for the perfect crib bedding for over a year now. If you've read the blog long enough, you know this. If you're my husband or a good friend, you know this well. Because as soon as I realized that there was more out there than Pottery Barn (which is admittedly well made and cute.. just a little too traditional for my taste), I became focused on replacing our current set to fit me; to better represent Cole. After much searching and very few finds I could be perfectly happy with, I was left still searching.

The hallelujah moment came when I checked in with a very favorite company of mine just to, once again, look at their alphabet crib set which was so far in first place for favorites. This is when I learned that Supernatural Baby had in fact launched two new(!) crib sets that were stunning. The find that makes your heart race.. because they were indeed fresh and fun and playful and unique! And instead of left wanting, I was left deciding: Urban or Coral Bird.

Brad {my husband} said that without question, Cole was (we were) Urban. So Urban it was!

The box arrived and the bedding- unveiled, and between Cole and I, we could only muster several wows. This is bedding perfection: a brilliant color combination, flawless hand screen printing {with water based inks} that prove true art, soft and minimal, and a whole representation of my son: beautiful, free spirited, and forever at play. (And as for the urban- he will always be our Boston baby.)

*For the feature that really does stand above any other bedding I've ever known: the crib bumper is made in 4 pieces. This is genius really. This means that with my custom sleigh crib ends, I can still have the coverage sans lumps; come time for the toddler bed conversion, we can still use three of the four bumper sides; and when the crib is all together done away with, waste not- do this.

I usually don't post on Saturdays, but I'm a woman on a mission {and as crazy as it is, at 8:37, my son is still sleeping! and my husband is mowing the lawn...}: I'm finally getting to putting together Cole's room for the very first time, and to complete the my vision, I need a rug and some wall art. Let's talk art. Without knowing the details of his room {and trusting that any of these options will go with the bedding, etc.}, I would love any opinions and/or suggestions! In the running for a blank wall or two:

the first adventures of incredible you.

Although Cole is too young to know the magic of reading a book about his life and the incredible adventures it will present, all interlaced with perfectly personal details {including his favorite park, his ball team and the street where he will most probably ride his two wheeler for the very first time}, it had me at the dedication page.

The story starts,

"The day you were born was a dream come true. It began the lifetime adventure of incredible YOU. March 19, 2006, was the special day of your birth- the day Cole Bradley Burgoyne arrived on this magnificent earth. You were funny and bright in your very own way, which is why it was certainly no ordinary day."

The pictures are vibrant, the details and personalized additions- flawless, and the idea of a book my son will grow up believing was written especially for him- priceless. It brought out the sentimental in me.

"Celebrate the stars, the moon, the flowers and trees, the animals, the sunsets, the rain showers and bees. Soak it all up, breath it all in and see all that you can see! For this is your life, Coley, and what an incredible one it will be!"

It's very well done and I'm excited to gift one in the future. Custom Made for Kids. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

I love the thought of being crafty. It's thrilling to plan a project and watch it become something pretty. That's what I'm hoping this holiday season becomes for me: thoughtful/creative projects. Coordinating and beautiful gift wrap; inspired decorations; handmade gifts. Truth be told: if I had a cottage with birch wood floors and pink walls-- guaranteed that this Christmas tree {above} would be in my living room.
