bobinette.

Drawing from her upbringing in Paris, a city where tradition blends with modernity, travels and world cultures, Lorraine Le Tac creates eclectic and versatile collections.

Since having a baby boy it has become my quest to search out and find the best in little boys clothing. I am determined for him to dress every bit as good as the girls, to not wear giant characters on his chest, and to be able to display some type of originality. With bobinette inspiration is drawn from faraway lands including India, Asia, North Africa and beyond. While that sets them apart all on it's own, the clothing itself is high quality, washes well and uses soft comfortable fabric. No fighting to wear a button up shirt will be required.

bobinette meets all the requirements as to what little boys clothing should be. View the entire collection here.

dylbug.

I've recently become a big fan of screen printing. I love the way it looks and feels, the way it washes and looks a little worn in, and the way it allows kids to wear something a little more personal, and a little less character like. I was introduced to dylbug not long ago and am completely taken by the line.

The colors, the vintage inspiration, the simple sayings all combine to make t-shirt love for me. It's style and function in perfect harmony. Each t-shirt is designed with care and time, packaged to perfection and makes the perfect gift (although I'm happy to be gifting myself with these).

My fav's are the retro rider collection and they're on sale.. you better believe I'll be stocking up on these.

squeeze hugs.

It's not often you find a web boutique that has just as many stylish boy clothes as they do girl clothes. Which is why I find squeeze hugs to be so refreshing.  At squeeze hugs you'll find hand selected brands like room seven, charlie rocket, rowdy sprouts and misha lulu. They're reinventing the one-stop shop and they're doing it well, they don't just specialize in clothing, they've selected the best in decoraccessoriesplaytime and more.

Shopping with squeeze hugs leaves me with a feeling of confidence. They guarantee each item in their shop is something they'd use for their very own child. So be sure to stop by this corner of the web, you just might find yourself inspired and relaxed as you surf through the best in European and American designers all in one place.

speesees.

In the beginning, I had two girls.. I was quick to dress them like grown ups. The latest in designer jeans (they had them) and expensive shoes they outgrew before they ever wore them...

They say the third times a charm and I have learned the error of my ways. Maybe with the possibility of Finn being my last, I want to hold on to the baby stage, or maybe I have taken my mom's advice to heart, maybe the jeans really do cut into their soft baby skin, and maybe the shoes really do pinch their perfect kissable toes.
Which is why Speesees clothes are at the top of my list for Finn, I want them filling his drawers and closet because I've fallen in love with them, and I'm pretty sure he loves them too.

Speeses clothes are made with 100% skal-certified organic cotton and are treated with low-impact herbal dyes, skipping the dioxin + formaldehyde altogether.
Leaving you with the perfect staples to your child's wardrobe.

Even the big kids love Speesees, and I guarantee if you give them a try, you won't regret it. I know they've converted me.. hands down!

little lovelies shop.

New Etsy shop alert! and it's a good one. Filled with little lovelies. The perfect accessory for your ears or your hair, and how great would some of these be in an easter basket?

Tretorn.

It's been raining buckets around here, and I've found myself wishing the girls had these rubber boots. I love that they aren't your average rubber boot design and colors.

Once I read the comment about the cars, I had to see them for myself. I agree so perfect for a little boy. Available here.

knuckleheads.

Once upon a time in the suburban forests of America a young mother went shopping for clothes for her little boy. In store after store she found outfits for small bankers and businessmen, but nothing for a cool little boy who liked skating and was a little bit rock n’ roll.
And so Knuckleheads was born...

I have to say it's about time there was a line that played to those of us who want to dress "outside the box". It's refreshing to find clothes that aren't preppy, or boring or covered in characters.

Even more refreshing a line that is all about boys (although they did recently launch a girls line, hula mula, that is equally fabulous).

I can honestly say I'll be incorporating Knuckleheads into Finn's wardrobe. Stylish, comfortable, and made to hold up to the wears and tears of little boys. You can't beat that.

Plus if wearing Knuckleheads clothes gets me photos like these, It's a double bonus.

raspberry kids.

I love one stop shopping. It saves time and money, and when it's combined in a well rounded boutique it really is about as good as it gets for me. Enter raspberry kids. I recently came across this web boutique and am amazed at the selection, quality and overall appeal. They have you covered from clothing to feeding to decor. They feature brands that you know and love, dante beatrix, babylegs, redfish kids, boon and more. Their tagline "fresh. healthy. fun." is the criteria they use when finding their products. There is nothing in their shop they wouldn't buy, want or need for their own children, which is reassuring to me. Anything I choose comes with their stamp of approval.

I am currently loving their Chipipi Wall Stickers from designer Samantha Peters. In fact I think they are genius. Removable and reposition-able they have been a hit in our playroom. The girls love making new designs on a daily basis, and I can breathe easy knowing they won't damage or leave a sticky residue on my newly painted walls. They're the perfect way to brighten your child's room or playroom and good for hours of entertainment. Available in three different sets Red Robin, Drive Time and Butterfly Patch. $79.99.

new for baby.

I had a reader email me about a fairly new company New For Baby. Upon  browsing their website, I was sold. It's difficult to find basics, and they have basics down to an art. Tracksuits, sleepers and one pieces in a variety of great colors.

You love them too? They're offering Tangled and True readers 15% off their already great prices by entering coupon code PCD at checkout. Happy Shopping!

eleven collection.

As Lily was transitioning from toddler shoes to kids shoes, I found myself in search of the kind of shoes I had fallen in love with for her younger self. I wasn't finding much until I happened upon Eleven Collection. Sister company to my favorite toddler shoe See Kai Run, I was ecstatic to say the least.

The styles are a bit more grown up but feature the same quality and impeccable style that I know and love.
Our mission is to create wonderful shoes for little travelers who make each step an adventure. Based in the Northwest, Eleven combines quality footwear with independent style and modern accents.
Eleven shoes feature soft leather uppers and flexible durable rubbers soles providing superior traction.  The high quality leather is naturally water resistant and each style features easy on and off Velcro or zipper closures. Available in girls, boys, boots and sandals.

I'm happy to say with Eleven we've crossed over into kid shoes without missing a step.

lucoo kids.

I love a little variety when it comes to childrens' clothing. Seeing the same crowns, hearts, butterflies, trucks and more can get a little old. That's why Lucoo kids is so refreshing. Robots for girls, a Sasquatch for your little boy, I fell in love. How could you not? The shirts are the highest quality, they are soft and bright and display characters you won't see every day. It's nice to liven up the wardrobe and add a little variety. The girls get a kick out the comments they receive when they're wearing a Lucoo shirt and I love to see them relishing in a little originality that doesn't break the bank: currently on sale for $20.

my weakness

Buying clothes for my girls is my weakness. But how can I help it, little kids look absolutely adorable in anything. They are too lucky :)

These are just a few of my favorite stores to buy their clothes from:

Tea Collection clothing is inspired by their travels around the world and the company helps give back by donating to The Global Fund for Children.

Chouju Hoodie

77kids is the new line for children from American Eagle and is fun, fun, fun! Every outfit is bright, fun, colorful and for the girls sparkly! Hopefully my daughter doesn't read this blog because this is what she is getting from me for Christmas.

Crazy 8 is owned by Gym-Mark Inc. who also owns Gymboree and Janie & Jack. The reason I like Crazy 8 more than the other two is because it is so much more affordable! Not to mention the clothes are so much more modern, colorful and unique.

some favorites.

I just recently received my holiday catalog from Down East and started a rather large wish list. The good news, their prices are completely reasonable. Some favorites on the list include the Constellation Skirt ($27) and Swiss Sweater bag available in small ($17) and large ($23) sizes.

plum tree studio.

Winter Robotic Tee $26

I love the idea of a handmade Christmas. I would be happy as could be if I had the time and energy to make every gift I gave. I always like to tell myself that handmade means a little more, not only did you give a gift but you put your own time into it as well. The reality of life does not allow me to make every gift I give, and so I like to turn to my trusty handmade site that is Etsy.

On my list of things to give this year, these brilliant tees from plum tree studio. Handmade creations for boys and girls featuring whimsical trees, dinosaurs, robots, sally tees (made to match your child's hair and eye color, and so adorable), cars, horses and more. Each design is appliqued and then top stitched with a machine for durability. Your favorite tyke is sure to be the envy of the neighborhood.

So give the gift of handmade this year, and it truly will be better to give than receive!
