It's hard to believe the Olympics are already here. Today is the first day and I am thrilled, there's nothing like watching competition at its' absolute best. These photos of the Olympic gardens in Beijing have been floating around the web, but I couldn't help sharing them. Every time I look at them I am still in awe. Seriously amazing. hate to put a damper on things, but the reason those gardens are so lush in a city with a major water crisis, is that they're stealing it from the local farmers. well, forced donation is more like. read about it here.
