oh baby!

So my husband has been out of town all week, we're in the middle of a heat wave, and we found out the buyers want us out of our house in just 3 short weeks. It's been a little stressful to say the least. When Ryan walked in the door last night, he'd come home with this little beauty. To think he could buy me off with a handbag...

ok, it kind of worked.

*don't worry, he got a deal. 60% off and then 50% off of that using Nike ID. I love a man that can get me a good deal.

PARTY!!

We recently had a surprise party for my husband. I had a lot of fun planning it and putting it all together.

It was an outdoor movie, so we brought in a big screen, speakers and a soundboard.

a popcorn machine that made

delicious movie popcorn. We had red velvet cupcakes decorated to look like pieces of popcorn on top (with white and yellow marshmallows)

a candy concessions cart

original recipe coke from Mexico, some Thomas Kemper Rootbeer and water too.

It was quite a fun evening. Complete with embarrassing my husband with video previews of himself before the movie started.

I'm hoping his front row seat in his very own recliner may have made up for the embarrassing videos.

pink counting birds.

We've spoken of Robin Rosenthal before, and I think it's safe to say that I am a big fan. In fact I designed an entire bathroom around her original counting birds poster. It's one of my favorite rooms in the house (is that weird?). Robin has recently introduced the counting birds in PINK! and I think it's quite a fun color combination. In fact, I'm already dreaming up ways to add this one to my home as well. Which do you prefer.. the green or the pink?

foxy and winston.

Hello Foxy and Winston, I'm glad we met. Really glad. Your name drew me in.. Foxy and Winston.. I like it. Your designs engaged me, your colors sold me, and the not so run of the mill animals closed the deal. Prairie dogs, Alpacas, Guinea Pigs, even Hedgehogs.. all underutilized in the land of design and print are finally recognized and shine in the spotlight.

If the cards and prints weren't enough, the all organic onesies with similar animal choices seem absolutely perfect for my little babe. Soft and unique, just the way I like.

You'll definitely be part of my life from here on out.
