When I saw these candy corn parfaits on one of my favorite food blogs (baked bree) I knew I had to make them. I'm on my way to the store now for supplies. I think they'll be a hit with the kiddos.

I have been longing for a rainy day, and I think these boots might be the perfect addition to my rainy day attire.

volume 25.

Do you ever go through a slump? I feel like like lately I have been in a slump. Saturday night I listened to some very inspiring speakers and have been slowly trying to pull myself out. I think this poster would be the perfect reminder to be grateful every day for so many things.

I love old typewriters and I love yellow, so this also made my list.

The whole volume 25 etsy shop is a fun one. All kinds of great posters. I'm hoping to add one to my home in the near future.

Good boy clothes are hard to come by. Sparkle and Spin hit the nail on the head, in my opinion anyway.

tooth fairy.

We've lost two teeth in the last week and a third is sure to follow quickly. We're creating our own little jack-o-lantern just in time for Halloween. I love the idea of keeping track, and this looks like the perfect way to do so. no?

I've been looking for a good fall wreath for our front door. I saw this tutorial on Martha Stewart today and thought it would be a good one to make. Any other good suggestions out there?

outdoor garden party.

I recently helped in the planning and execution of an outdoor garden birthday party. I don't think the night could have been more perfect. We hauled out every piece of white/cream furniture I own, begged and borrowed from other friends and in the end, it looked like a party tailored specifically to the guest of honor.

I loved having it outside, with the twinkling lights and night falling, the girly fresh summer food, yummy salads and of course the cake. As it got colder we bundled up under fluffy pink down comforters, passed the candy dishes around the circle and laughed the night away.

Stephmodo's cherry party for her daughter is one to stash away in the file boxes. She's pulled off yet another amazing party. I don't know how she does it!

I stopped by a friends house last friday for a visit. We were a few minutes late and as we apologized she said, "don't worry, it's Cinderella Friday, I'm just hanging around cleaning.."

If you're looking for a streak free finish while cleaning windows and mirrors. Try using newspaper instead of paper towels or a dry rag. You'll be amazed how well it works.

after school snack.

Lily has been in school going on 4 weeks now, I'm wishing she'd started a little later so that I could have used all these back to school ideas I've been seeing. I just saw this fun snack on blonde designs. I may have to sneak it in even though she's been going for awhile.
